All pesticides can pose a threat if not properly used by the service technician. Mack Pest Control personnel are specifically trained to properly handle pest control treatment options that have the least impact to the environment. But if you want to ensure your property and health is protected, we recommend the used of our Urban Integrated Pest Management (U.I.P.M.) technique. Our Pest Control program includes maintenance and sanitation recommendations, non-toxic monitoring, mechanical trapping techniques and precision placement of any pesticides as necessary. This is a seamless end to end “green” program. Window screening, repairing plumbing leaks, redirecting down spouts, sealing cracks and crevices around perimeters, and ensuring proper ventilation of attics and crawl spaces - are some of the maintenance issues that should be addressed. Proper sanitation has obvious benefits when it comes to U.I.P.M. methodical removal of trash to secure, outside containers is very important. Elimination of external and internal clutter narrows pest harborage opportunities. Plastic food storage containers with sealed enclosures prevent pest contamination and routine housekeeping is always a good idea! Mack Pest Control, Inc. utilizes small glue traps to identify and monitor pest infestations. These traps let us know where and how severe the infestation. These two inch square boxes can easily be concealed in suspected pest harborage areas and placed around the house or office to aid in control. Large glue boards, snap traps and mechanical live traps have proven very helpful in controlling rodent infestations without the use of any toxic materials. Combined with the maintenance recommendations mentioned above, glue boards may be the only steps necessary to manage these pests. Pesticide selection and placement are very important. All of the insecticides that Mack Pest Control, Inc. uses are considered “green”. These products are either produced in certain plants or are manmade reproductions of these naturally occurring pesticides. They have virtually no mammalian toxicity (not harmful to adults/children, cats, dogs, etc.) but are highly toxic to insects. They have a relatively short residual life and pose no hazard to the environment if applied properly. Mack Pest Control, Inc. also uses insecticide gel and granular baits which can be placed in areas that are inaccessible to children and pets. These products will attract the targeted pest and controls them with very small application placements. |
